Felt so bad today when I got a telemarket call for charity towards the AIDS situation - though in my weak and sketchy defense, $300 is a lot to fork out. That brings to mind the question: what is the price of humanity? Priceless? Or worthless? Only time will tell. It's funny how the media attention always shifts towards the things that the stereotypical public want to read, listen, and hear about: the runaway bride, the upcoming elections, money paid out to a Sox fan, Miss Jumbo Queen. This has gone on for quite a while, while disregarding the Darfur situation. Maybe it's time the public demanded attention on crucial societal needs. Then again, maybe the public wants to see the simple issues, and not the complicated ones.
