New speakers. Got them working with the computer, they sound alright - it's a bad listening environment.

Didn't know System of A Down was that popular; at least my Dave Matthews CD should be arriving shortly.

Blue

Phoenix Suns couldn't pull it off against the stingy San Antonio defense. Barry was clutch for the Spurs, as was Tim Duncan. Marion for the Suns was lacklustre. They'll have to step it up in the second game - with Nash leading the way.
  • Political news last week: Stronach defecting to the Liberals.
It's clearly a career move coinceding with the public's best interest. Otherwise, Stronach would have abstained from voting; instead, she gained a prominent role in government (Minister of Human Resources). It's a deal with the devil and a deal that cannot be rescinded.
  • Political news today: Laura Bush getting an unwarm welcome to the Islamic nations.
Think of it this way: how would Osama bin Laden (who's still kicking around) be welcomed to the United States? The only thing that's stopping even more violence from occuring is the threat of nuclear weapons, and for that matter even small armed weapons. Let's face it, how can a third-world country compete with a first-world country in terms of money and power? There is a clear answer: heart.

We're just bad company.

Liberals majority, NDP minority, and no Green Party. Disappointing. Only four years since the fast ferry fiasco eh?

starvation in sudan. lets hope the world does something bout this.

Surprised?

I was talking the other day to a buddy of mine and there's the greatest conspiracy theory going around: cure for cancer, AIDS, and other diseases are out there, but the government is exploiting the drug costs. Think about it - they try to patch the situation up, not cure it completely.

it's been a while since i was your man.

man it's been a long week. though exciting - drive up to trail was sweet, as was trail itself. lots of outdoor stuff to do there - both in the summer and winter. back in the hometown, and its been good seeing a lot of people, a lot of faces. though i'm still a stranger. golf on a new course today was pretty sweet - decent greens, hard fairways.
Peace and love. We're vicious enough with hate.

driving on a one-way road.

Salad for dinner:
fresh baby leaves of spinach, fresh tomatoes, grated cheese, fresh cilantro, and a splash of Italian dressing

Two bowls of rice a day. Some people have two bowls of rice at supper.

It's the story of this life. I want enough so I can live comfortably, but not too much so that hard work is never a driving factor, and not too little so that bitterness settles in. I'm one of the lucky ones who has a choice to choose to work hard or hardly work (resulting in more and less). Some people only have the first option for meagre living standards, or the second option for a one-way ticket for the entrance to the elevator.

You Learn Something New Everyday

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/7681252/ Sketchy times - a pig made with human blood? Animal farm anyone?

Learned how to tie a windsor knot today. pretty sketchy times. looks pretty classic though, i'm getting the natural hang of it.

http://www.ernieels.com/ Big Easy is back in form - great BMW Open.

Felt so bad today when I got a telemarket call for charity towards the AIDS situation - though in my weak and sketchy defense, $300 is a lot to fork out. That brings to mind the question: what is the price of humanity? Priceless? Or worthless? Only time will tell. It's funny how the media attention always shifts towards the things that the stereotypical public want to read, listen, and hear about: the runaway bride, the upcoming elections, money paid out to a Sox fan, Miss Jumbo Queen. This has gone on for quite a while, while disregarding the Darfur situation. Maybe it's time the public demanded attention on crucial societal needs. Then again, maybe the public wants to see the simple issues, and not the complicated ones.
